Summer 2017

Remember how Drake’s Summer Sixteen was the hit of last summer? This year I am pretty sure I will be singing DJ Khaled’s Wild Thoughts with Rihanna and Bryson Tiller non-stop. I’ll probably balance it out with Davido’s If every now and then, but why mess with the perfection that is Rihanna Robyn Fenty? If you have any objections to this last statement, quickly go and watch the Wild Thoughts video and return to read the rest of this post.

Since you’re here I assume we’re in agreement that Wild Thoughts has to surpass Fancy in number of streams (Can you believe its been 2 years since that song was on repeat everywhere!). Let’s get down to business though, summer has always been a time to take a break from our usual year-round activities and lounge about in the sun. For us college students, we balance out the resting from terms/semesters of classes out with an internship to build our resume so we can get a job after graduation (Yes I am partaking in an internship) so our summer also includes ‘adulting’ practice.

I have compiled a list of things I would like to accomplish this summer, both new and old experiences that will enrich me, after all my goal is to live passionately and be self-fulfilled.

New experiences

  • Summer concert
  • Staycation
  • Curlfest
  • Chandon Picnic
  • Study for GRE
  • Apply for study abroad trip to Jamaica
  • Watch sunrise/sunset on Art Museum (Rocky) steps
  • Train for the Rocky Run (5k)

Old Favorites

  • Take a trip (anywhere new)
  • Go to the beach
  • Complete clean
  • Grease marathon
  • Barnes & Noble reading (do not buy anything!)
  • Museum visit
  • Herconference 2017
  • Shoot a friend (I mean pictures!)
  • Take a dance class

Now that I have the list down, I am looking forward to having a great summer. Obviously you will be updated on how far I go with these experiences because I will probably post them here in posts, but just in case I do not think a whole post is worth it, just follow me on Instagram to keep up!
